We can make government work by changing how we approach it. I believe we can overcome the challenges we face, if we move beyond the politics of division and the intrusion of Special Interests on public policy. Working together we can create the jobs, opportunities and security that all Oregonians desire. By concentrating on what unites us as families, as neighbors, as Oregonians, as Americans, we can begin to build a better tomorrow from the uncertainties of today.

We must concentrate on our common desire to find pragmatic solutions to our biggest challenges - jobs, education and health care. If we are prepared to reach across party, cultural and ideological lines, I believe we can move forward together. That's why I'm running.
